Luxury Kitchen Remodel in Central Ohio

Soft curves are intricately woven into the clean lines of cherry stained cabinets and bold backsplash in this Central Ohio Kitchen Remodel. The use of inset cabinets and carved feet provided the traditional furniture look that was desired. The hardware offered a pleasant curve against the strong lines of the traditional cabinets and tied in nicely with the rosettes on the butler’s pantry as well as the medallion above the cooktop and the embossed bronze accents on the backsplash.

The backsplash in this kitchen was used to mirror the glass on the two chandeliers above the island. The use of two different colored crushed glass tiles on the backsplash reflected the similar colors used in the chandeliers. The medallion above the cooktop featured clear crushed glass and was inlaid with canyon red crushed glass. The canyon red crushed glass was designed to be systematically used throughout the backsplash which provides a pleasant pattern for the eye.

Cream colored granite that was marbled with coffee and cocoa veins was used to unite the island and perimeter cabinets. The veins add a layer of warmth to the space while simultaneously unifying the use of copper and canyon red on the backsplash. The combination of two neutral surfaces, the counter and beige floor provided the perfect backdrop for the bold use of the chandeliers. The two six-light chandeliers featured gold roses and handcrafted colored crystals and provided a balance to the dark cabinets.

A larger cabinet was designed to showcase the Wolf induction cooktop. The cabinet was flanked on both sides with hand carved detail that complimented the turning on the custom wrapped hood. The turning on the butler’s pantry complimented the turning on the hood, and the same floral hardware on the island reflected the rosettes used on the pantry. The embossed floral bronze tile pulled many of the elements together which provided a soft touch to a traditional kitchen.

The arches on the glass-paned doors were custom designed to balance the strong lines along with the rosettes. The cabinets were placed on the outside of the paneled Sub-Zero fridge and Wolf double oven. This did not overpower the featured cabinets but allowed them to be a single feature that was also unified with the turning above the refrigerator and the matching soft curved hardware. The same backsplash was used below the glass-paned cabinets and it featured the use of exact lines and the pleasant contrast of a floral embossed bronze tile. Both sides were lined in crushed red glass that provided warmth to the neutral counter when paired with the under cabinet lighting.
